Dehydration is a serious health concern, especially during the summer. Dehydration happens when you don’t get enough water. You need water for breathing, digestion, and every basic bodily function. To prevent dehydration, drink plenty of fluids and eat foods high in water such as fruits and vegetables.
Here are a few signs of dehydration to be aware of
Bad breath is one of the signs of dehydration. Saliva has antibacterial properties, but dehydration can prevent your body from making enough saliva.
It’s natural to have an increased heart rate and rapid breathing while exercising. But if your symptoms are persistent then it could be a sign of severe dehydration
If you have constant food cravings, especially for sweets and other items then you might be dehydrated.
Pinch the skin on the top of your hand and see what happens. If it moves back slowly, this is an indication that you’re mildly to moderately dehydrated. If the skin seems to stick together, this is a sign of severe dehydration.
Even mild dehydration can cause a dehydration headache and trigger a migraine headache.
