7-year-old girl feared drowned after falling from footbridge, rescue ops on

Uppunda: A girl studying in the second standard fell into a stream while returning home from school on Monday.
The student has been identified as Sannidhi (7), a resident of Makkimane of Bolamballi. As the flow of water in the stream is high, she is feared to have drowned.
Sannidhi, a class two student studying at Government Higher Primary School at Chapparike was returning home after school when the mishap took place. While crossing the footbridge at Bijamakki, she slipped and fell into the stream. The force of water due to heavy rains in the area was such that she was dragged to a distance.
Currently, the search and rescue operations are on.
Byndoor Constituency legislator B M Sukumar Shetty, Tahsildar Kiran Gorraiah, and others visited the spot.
