It’s 75th birthday of Dr. D Veerendra Heggade today!

Belthangady: Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Virendra Heggade is celebrating his 75th birth anniversary today i.e. November 25. However, it will be a simple celebration at his residence.

The employees of the temple, the town residents, and the staff of various institutions run by the Kshetra will extend their birthday wishes to Dr. Heggade.

Dr. Heggade was born in 1948 as the eldest son of the late Dharmadhikari Ratnavarma Heggade and the late Rathnamma Heggade (née Shetty). He succeeded his father as the 21st Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on October 24, 1964. Since July 2022, he is also a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian Praliament.

AS the Dharmadhikari, he focused on education and various rural development projects in the coastal area of Karnataka, comprising 600 villages and 6 towns.
