Absconding murder accused nabbed

Uppinangady: Anand (30) who is accused of murdering his relative Yashwanth (19) using a sharp edged weapon when they had gone to view the Kambla has been arrested by Uppinangady police. The accused went missing soon after the incident,
The case which was being investigated by Uppinangady police launched an operation to nab the suspected accused Anand. Accordingly Anand, son of Rukmaya Nalike, a resident of Kodambettu in Bantwal taluk was arrested at Kalleri in Karaya village when he was traveling on a two wheeler. The police have also seized small sabre used for the murder and a motor bike.
The reason: Lady Issue, daughter’s death
Anand is a married man and was angry of the fact that Yashwanth was in love with a relative of his wife. Besides, whenever Yashwanth was drunk, he used to boast that he was behind the death of Anand’s child two months back, which only further aggravated Anand. Looking for an for an opportunity to teach Yashwant a fitting lesson, Anand stabbed the latter with a small sabre used for Bhootaradhane and bled Yashwanth to death. The information came to light when the accused was subjected to police questioning.
The operation was conducted under the directions of rural police circle inspector, Manjunath D and Uppinangady police sub-inspector Nandakumar and other staff successfully nabbed the accused.
