After pestering for ticket, BJP leader Somanna’s son likely to step back

Bengaluru: Son of former minister V Somanna, Dr Arun, who inspired BJP ticket to battle from Arasikere constituency in Hassan district by pestering the leaders for the same through his father, is presently stepping back from the elections.
BJP workers from this electorate are saddened by the way that both Dr Arun and Somanna are not accessible for contact by telephone ever since Dr Arun reported as official competitor of the party. They have been getting ‘switched off’ messages consistently, it is learnt.
Dr Arun has supposedly quit on grounds that he wants to challenge from a urban seat.
Somanna has been the candidate from Govindarajanagar electorate in the city. It is said that Somanna, who likewise has got tickets for his followers, H Raveendra in Vijayanagar and M Lakshminarayan from Champarajpet is said to be in confusion as he finds the time too short to visit Arasikere consistently to ensure success of his son. It is additionally said that Somanna was dubious in regards to getting ticket for his son till last minute as a local candidate was steadfastly opposing this proposal.
B K Manjunath, BJP applicant from Sira, following in the strides of Dr M R Hulinaikar, BJP competitor from Madhugiri of Tumakuru district, has chosen not to battle the elections. He has likewise composed a letter to Yeddyurappa in this regard. He said that despite the fact that he was requested to gather B form from the workplace on April 18, no such thing happened when he went to the party office. In this manner he said he stepped back from competing the elections after discussing with his supporters.
