All Omicron cases in Karnataka to be treated at Bengaluru’s Bowring Hospital

Bengaluru: All Omicron COVID-19 variant cases in Karnataka will be treated at Bengaluru’s Bowring Hospital.

BBMP chief Gaurav Gupta said,  “Please note that the second person has no travel history, so there may be chances of more people having the infection. There is a need to be vigilant about this new variant.”

It comes after two people were found to be infected with the Omicron variant in Karnataka. Of the two people, one person is from Bengaluru. His five contacts have also tested positive and their samples have been sent for genomic sequencing.

Two cases of Omicron variant were detected in Karnataka on Thursday, December 2.
