Ampar: Bike and car accident, one dies

Kundapura: A collision between a car and a motorcycle resulted in the death of a man. Another person sustained grievous injuries. The accident took place near Balkabettu Bridge at Ampar, which comes under Shankarnarayana police limits, on Wednesday, May 9th.

Shankar Shetty was driving his car from Ampar to Siddapura and Mahesh Shetty was going on his motorcycle in the opposite direction when their vehicles collided. Both men were severely injured.

They were rushed to Chinmayi Hospital in Kundapur, where Mahesh was pronounced brought dead.

Shankar, after preliminary treatment, was shifted to Kasturba Hospital in Manipal for further treatment. Rash and negligent driving by the car driver is said to be the cause of the accident.
