Sakleshpur: Another landslide occurred on the Shiradi Ghat highway near Doddataplu in Sakleshpur taluk on Wednesday evening, burying several vehicles under the debris.

This incident follows a similar landslide that took place on Tuesday at the same location. Today, another landslide buried several vehicles. The driver of the container truck is trapped, and rescue operations are ongoing.

The landslide has disrupted traffic on National Highway 75, cutting off the Bengaluru-Mangaluru route.

Vehicles are stranded for kilometres on both sides of the highway, causing distress among commuters.

Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda visited the site this morning. Heavy rains in the evening triggered the landslide, leading to the closure of the Shiradi Ghat road once again.
