Assault on workers: Eight police teams hunt for film producer’s family

Bengaluru: Film producer Soundarya Jagadish, actor Snehit Jagadish have been booked for allegedly assaulting two of their neighbour’s workers here recently.
Soundarya, Snehit, and seven others have been booked on charges of outraging the modesty of the two workers. As clippings of the alleged assault were aired on some channels, the accused, anticipating their arrest in the case have sought anticipatory bail and have gone into hiding.
A notice was served to them to appear for police questioning on Monday but they did not do so.
Preliminary police investigations reveal that Snehit, his mother visited a temple in Mysuru after they left the city on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, the police have formed eight teams to trace their whereabouts. Three teams reportedly visited Mangaluru, Mysuru, and Belagavi to gather details from their relatives.
“We have alerted police departments in the neighboring states to track their movements,” an officer added.
