
Ayushmati clinics, exclusively for women’s healthcare, inaugurated

Mangaluru: New Ayushmati Clinics, the dedicated clinics for women, were inaugurated on Monday at Padil, Bejai, Bunder, and Suratkal City Primary Health Centers in the city.
Local corporator Rupshree Poojary inaugurated the clinic in a district-level program held at Padil Health Centre. District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. Kishore Kumar and other officials and dignitaries of the Health Department were present. Clinics at Bijai, Port, and Surathkal were also inaugurated by the representatives locally.
All Ayushmati clinics in the city will officially start operations on Tuesday. These clinics will be functioning from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. Two specialist doctors will be present at the clinic every day.
Medical specialists and dermatologists are available on Mondays, surgeons and ear, nose, and throat specialists on Tuesdays, bone and joint and ophthalmologists on Wednesdays, gynecologists and pediatricians on Thursdays, and psychiatry and dental specialists on Fridays. Laboratory service, free check-ups, medication, personal consultation, and referral services are available.
Similar Ayushmati Clinics were inaugurated in Udupi and Madikeri as well.
