Bantwal: 32-year-old woman crushed to death under lorry wheels

Bantwal: In a ghastly road accident, a 32-year-old woman was crushed to death under the wheels of a lorry at Mondankap on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Usha, a resident of Karavali Site in Benjanapadavu.

It is gathered that Usha was knocked down after two scooters collided near Modankap coconut oil mill and was crushed by the lorry, killing her on the spot.

Usha, who ran a shop at Benjanapadavu, had visited the town to fetch supplies. She was returning back when the mishap took place.

Melkar police are investigating.
