Bantwal: Accident accused absconding for five years arrested

Bantwal: Police officials arrested an absconding accused, who was responsible for the death of a scooterist five years ago.
The accused has been identified as Nazar N.A, a resident of Muliyaru, Nellikaru, Kasaragod.
Nazar, a lorry driver by profession was involved in an accident in 2016 at Narahari near Kalladka which led to the death of a two-wheeler rider.
The accused Nazar went absconding without attending the court hearing. It is said that Nazar fled abroad after the incident. Following this, the court issued an arrest warrant against him.
Acting on a definite tip-off, Melkar Traffic SI Murthy arrested Nazar near BC Road bus stand on Thursday, January 5.
