Bantwal: Coal-laden lorry falls into roadside ditch, 2 injured

Bantwal: A lorry tumbled into a roadside ditch at Dasakodi near Kalladka in the wee hours of Friday, September 22.

Two persons identified as Arif and Riyaz sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The incident took place at around 4.30 am. The lorry carrying coal from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. According to locals, the driver may have dosed off behind the wheels resulting in the accident.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru. Bantwal traffic police have visited the spot and are investigating
