Bantwal: Police seize vehicle for illegally transporting cow

Bantwal: Bantwal town police on the night of Monday, July 27 seized a Maruti Omni which was illegally transporting a cow.

A police patrol saw the Omni speeding at Marnabailu near here at night. When they signalled for it to stop the turned to the Nandavar road trying to escape. The police patrol vehicle started pursuit.

The speeding Omni had crashed into a shop and the culprits in it fled. The police reached the spot and on inspection found a cow tied inside the car.

The Omni and the cow have been seized by the police and a case has been registered at the Bantwal police station.
