Battle against Covid-19: Team of docs at Mangala Hosp develop Bubble Helmet

Mangaluru: A team of doctors lead by Dr Ganapathi, Medical Director, Mangala Hospital at Mangalore developed a new equipment to ensure better treatment and safety of the frontline Covid 19 health workers.
The team have developed ‘Bubble helmet’, an alternative option for the traditional oxygen masks which will be revolutionary in the treatment covid 19.
The bubble helmet covers the head of the patient completely and will be connected through a special collar on it. This device will help the patient to overcome breathing problems and avoid using ventilator facility.
The automatic disinfection gateway is another equipment developed that is designed for the decontamination of people, one at a time. It is controlled electronically as the sensors mounted in the chamber detects the entry of a person and begins the hydrogen peroxide mist generation process
