Belagavi by-polls: Voters boycott elections to protest unfulfilled promise

Belagavi: Around 2,500 residents of flood-hit Hiretadasi and Chikkatadasi villages of Ramadurga taluk in Belagavi boycott the Lok Sabha by-poll.
It is said that the voters boycotted the polls in protest against the state’s failure to relocate the villages to safe places as a measure of a permanent solution.
Belagavi Lok Sabha recorded a voting percentage of 5.47% till 9 am and BJP candidate Mangala Angadi along with her family cast their vote
