Beltangady: Man arrested for minor’s repeated rape

Beltangady: An auto driver has been arrested by Dharmasthala police for allegedly repeatedly raping a minor girl here.

The accused identified as Naufal, a resident of Nellyadi has been booked under POSCO act.

As per the complaint, Naufal became acquainted with the victim during her trips to the school in the year 2018 and obtained the victim’s phone number. He visited her home when she was alone, raped her and recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

Later, he raped her multiple times by threatening to make the recording public.

The victim, who went through the torture for a long period finally broke her silence and revealed her ordeal to her parents, who then made her file with the police.
