Belthangadi: Drowning leopard rescued from well

A leopard struggling to stay afloat in a well was rescued by forest department officials. The wild cat is believed to have fallen into the well, owned by Vasanth Kotian Jala of Navara, on Wednesday night.
Upon seeing the leopard paddling in the water, locals informed the forest department officials.
A 15-member team was involved in the rescue operation. The leopard was later put into a cage
Residents in the area had previously complained about dogs and chickens going missing.
