Belthangady: 9-year-old boy, man drown in waterbody

Belthangady: A 9-year-old boy and a man drowned to death in a waterbody of a plantation in Kodingeri, Hosangady village of Belthangady on Thursday, March 26.

The deceased are identified as Ishan (9), son of Sadananda Poojary, a resident of Moodukonaje Konanja, Shirthadi and Vasudeva (22), resident of Darkhasumane of Panapila, Moodabidri.

As per police sources, two were relatives and were visiting another relative near Hosangady. The two had gone to the plantation to cut grass.

The incident took place when Ishan accidentally fell into a waterbody while walking beside the plantation in Kodingeri. Vasudeva rushed to his rescue also drowned in water.
