Belthangady: Man breaks into hosp, takes away COVID-19 wife and newborn

Belthangady: A man breaking into a hospital and taking away his wife who tested positive for COVID-19 along with their newborn child was reported on the night of Thursday, July 16 here.

The pregnant wife of the man was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, July 15. She had delivered the baby on the same day.

When she was admitted on Wednesday at the hospital her samples were collected to test for COVID-19. Her test reports arrived on Thursday confirming her to be positive for COVID-19.

After the man learnt of his wife being COVID-19 positive, he arrived at the hospital in his car late in the night, broke open the lock and took away his wife and their baby.

It is not known where they went. Police have already started searching for them.
