Belthangady teacher among 47 awarded by Prez on Teachers Day

New Delhi, Bengaluru: President Ramanath Kovind on Thursday, September 5, Teachers Day honoured 47 teachers from across the country in an online award ceremony. Among the recipients of the award was Yakub Kooyur, a mathematics teacher from Belthangady.
The award was given for selfless contributions in improving the quality of education and making a significant difference in the lives of students.
The other recipients of the award from the State include Surekha Jagannath, a teacher at Government High School, Afzalpur in Kalburgi and Chemmallar Shanmugan, a teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bengaluru.
