Three people attacked with swords, rods by over 60 bike-borne men in Belthangady; complaint filed

Belthangady: In a shocking incident, three people were attacked with swords, rods by a mob of 60 bike-borne men on Sunday, December 5 at Andthadka of Ilanthila village.

It is said that complainant Abdul Zacharia was speaking to his friend Siddique near a grocery store when the miscreants arrived on their bikes and began attacking them.

Abdul and Siddiqui were attacked with swords by accused Sandeep Kuppetti, Jayarama. Later, other accused Supreet, Preetham and Lathesh hit the hands of Siddique with iron rods.

Abdul and Siddique ran from the spot and while chasing them the accused attacked Ayub Khan who was walking on the road.  Locals gathered at the spot and the accused fled from the scene.

A case has been registered and the victims are being treated at a nearby hospital.
