Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Expresses Confidence on Investigation into Gauri Lankesh Murder

Bengaluru: Bengaluru city police commissioner T Suneel Kumar has expressed his confidence and said the culprits behind the murder of senior Kannada journalist, social activist, Gauri Lankesh would be arrested soon. Speaking to the media persons he said, the task of finding the culprits is challenging for the police department as the murder is a sensational case and the investigation should progress in various dimensions.  However, the police could handle the case smoothly to bring the culprits behind the scene, the police commissioner said.

The police have questioned the persons who expressed their happiness over the murder of Gauri Lankesh on their respective facebook page and efforts are on to gather information on the culprits to nab them. The police have intensified their investigation on the CCTV footage collected from more than 30 CCTV cameras installed at the residence of the deceased and nearby areas of the locality. The police have recorded the statements of the residents of nearby areas where the murder took place.
