Bengaluru: A complaint has been lodged with the Police Commissioner about a fake website mimicking Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC)’s official website that is spreading misinformation.
The fake website used photos of Congress leaders with “false, hypocritical and defamatory” details. The achievements of the Congress regime from 2013 to 2018, scams, major crimes, communal riots, affiliates, tukde tukde gang, urban Naxals, and anti-nationals were written on the fake website.
Priyank Kharge tweeted a copy of the complaint. “It is said that the last weapon of cowards is propaganda, deception. Similarly, a complaint has been submitted to the Commissioner of Police to trace and take strict action against those who created a fake letter in the name of opposition party leader Shri @siddaramaiah and created a fake website in the name of the Congress party,” wrote Priyank Kharge in the captions.
