Bengaluru: Driver nabbed for robbing passengers

Bengaluru: A 23-year-old driver of a travel agency in the city was arrested by J C Nagar police for stealing assets from travelers to purchase presents for his fiance. 

The accused, Shahim Peerzade, hailed from Bhatkal. He was recently engaged and had promised to gift his fiance a scooty and gold ornaments.The police have likewise recovered 310 grams of gold jewelry from the driver. 

Peerzade chose to take the assets from travelers who are careless, the police said. 

He had also committed crimes in moving vehicles in RMC Yard and Kodigehalli and the police have registered cases.
