
Bengaluru: Five members of a family commit suicide; notices served after suicide notes recovered

Bengaluru: A man and his two sons-in-law were served notices and asked to appear for questioning after four people allegedly died by suicide and a nine-month-old baby was found dead in a house in Bengaluru.
The deceased were identified as Bharathi (51), a resident of Tigalarapalya and the wife of a journalist, her daughters Sinchana (34), Sindhoora (34), her son Madhusagar (25), along with the yet to be named baby boy.
The incident came to light after the journalist, Hulagere Shankar, returned home after four days.
The police have found three separate suicide notes which claim harassment by Shankar and his two sons-in-law, Srikanth and Praveen. Shankar’s son has accused his father of having an illicit relationship.
Three laptops, five phones and a pen drive, among others, were recovered.
