Bengaluru: Tiles worker murdered on road; 2nd wife suspected of contract killing

Bengaluru: An incident where a tiles worker was brutally murdered in the middle of the road in front of the Ambedkar College in Kaval Byrasandra in Devarajeevana Halli (DJ Halli) here was reported late on Friday.
The deceased Krishnamurthy (35) was a resident of Kaval Byrasandra.
Krishnamurthy’s brother lodged a complaint against Krishnamurthy’s second wife in connection with the incident, police said.
Krishnamurthy, who was walking to his friends’ house to play carrom at around 10.30 pm on Friday, was attacked by three bike-borne miscreants.
Locals noticed Krishnamurthy lying in a pool of blood on the road and informed the police.
Krishnamurthy had married Ruthu, a resident of KG Halli, after leaving his first wife a few years ago. Both have two children.
About a month and a half ago, a quarrel broke out between the couple and Ruthu took one of their child with her to her parents home.
Krishnamurthy had visited Ruthu at her parents’ house many times and had quarrelled there too to give the child taken away by her.
Ruthu and her family are suspected of Krishnamurthy murder now as no one was found at their home and their mobile phones are switched off.
