The District Election Officer Govinda Reddy has suspended two officers for failing to discharge their duties.

Assistant Horticulture Officer Rajkumar and Panchayat Raj Engineering Sub Division First Class Clerk Vitthala Rao have been suspended from their positions.

The decision was made after a meeting was held on Saturday in Tapam office hall to discuss the code of conduct and check posts for the upcoming elections. The suspended officers remained absent in the meeting without prior intimation.

As per the order issued by Reddy, the two suspended officers are not allowed to use their central post without the permission of the District Collector.
