Bijur: Younger brother murders elder brother

Uppunda: It has been accused that Santhosh (20) has murdered Nagaraj (47), both sons of Kuppa Koraga, a resident of Bavaladi in Bijur village.
Incident synopsis
Kuppa Koraga and Shukru couple had 8 daughters and 4 sons, all living in the same house.
Brothers Nagaraj and Santhosh had returned back home extremely drunk at around 9:30 pm. Later a fight broke out between the duo on an issue regarding inner wear. The fight grew beyond bounds and Santhosh snatched his father’s walking stick and savagely attacked Nagaraj breathed his last late in the night. A brother-in-law who had come to stop the fight suffered injuries and is admitted at Byndoor government hospital.
Even as the family was preparing to give final rites to the deceased, the locals informed CI Prameshwar Gunaga who reached the spot along with Inspector Timmesh B N and staffs. Seeing the police arrive, Santhosh made good his escape.
SP Nisha James visited the spot and conducted inspection. A case in this connection has been registered with Byndoor police and the post mortem of the corpse was conducted at Byndoor Community Health Centre.
It is learnt that the accused Santhosh was a womanizer and there have been several complaints against him. Byndoor police are investigating the case.
