Birthday candle blows off; girl seriously injured

Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a girl celebrating her birthday suffered serious injuries after helium balloons burst while lighting a birthday candle.

The victim has been identified as Sanjana, a resident of Mohalla and student of a private college here.

It has been reported that, when Sanjana was lighting a sparkling birthday candle, some of the sparks burst one of the balloons. A fire then engulfed the girl, leaving her injured.

A video of the same went viral on social media, where Sanjana is seen screaming and running away from the scene. She is said to have suffered injuries on her hands, legs and face.
