BJP OBC leader held after audio of him asking man to rape girl to recover loan goes viral

Davangere: District BJP OBC Mocha Vice president Chikka Ujjayini Sagar Aanjanappa has been arrested by Jagluru police for allegedly asking a man to rape a girl to recover his loan.

An audio clip of the alleged conversation went viral on social media. According to the audio clip, the BJP leader was approached by Revanasiddappa seeking suggestions to recover the money he loaned to Umeshappa of the Madiwala community. Aanjanappa reportedly asks him to rape the girl of the community and also assures to get him released from jail.

After the clip went viral, people staged a silent protest in front of the police station demanding that the BJP leader be arrested.

Meanwhile, District BJP expelled him from primary membership of the party.
