B’luru: Man stabs his assailant to death

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death after he attempted to kill a man over old enmity near Konnakunte Cross on Friday night.

The deceased, Sharath was employed as a food delivery executive. Police have arrested the accused identified as Lokesh and his friend Santosh.

According to the police, Sharath held a grudge against Lokesh who happened to be a witness in a murder case that took place in 2018 near Konnakunte Cross. Recently the duo had a fight over money-related matters.

On Friday night, Lokesh and Santhosh were hanging out near Konnakunte Cross and drinking alcohol when an inebriated Sharath too arrived there.

Sharath picked up a quarrel with Lokesh over an old issue and tried to assault him with a knife. However, Lokesh snatched the same knife and stabbed Sharath to death.

A case has been registered at Kumaraswamy Layout Station in this regard.
