Mangaluru: Bollywood icon Sanjay Dutt was in Coastal Karnataka on Saturday, where he visited the famous Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple and offered prayers. The actor, known for his roles in blockbuster films, attracted a massive crowd during his temple visit.

Later in the day, Dutt graced the 10th-anniversary celebrations of Mangaluru’s popular Hulivesha event, organized by Biruver Kudla. Thousands of eager fans flocked to the event to catch a glimpse of the actor. Initially scheduled to arrive at 2 PM, Dutt made his appearance at around 5:30 PM. The crowd erupted in cheers as he walked towards the stage, and the iconic Khalnayak theme music added to the excitement.

Fans scrambled to capture photos of the star, flooding the venue with mobile cameras. After greeting the audience, Dutt watched the traditional Hulivesha dance and was honored with a special gift featuring tiger face paint. His greeting, “Hello Mangaluru!” on the mic, was met with thunderous applause.

In a light-hearted moment, Dutt remarked, “I believe Udayanna is a bigger tiger than these performers,” referring to a member of the Biruver Kudla group. The statement drew loud cheers and whistles from the audience. The actor also expressed his admiration for Mangaluru’s rich culture and vibrant traditions.

Several dignitaries, including Uday Poojary Ballal Bagh, Venkatesh Bhandari, Mahesh Shetty, and Nalin Kumar Kateel, were present at the event.
