Boy dies accidentally while enacting Bhagat Singh’s role

Chitradurga: A class 7 boy, who had been chosen to play the role of Bhagat Singh on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava day died while enacting his death scene.

The boy Sanjay Gowda (12) was alone at home on Saturday when the incident took place. He was rehearsing the part where Bhagat Singh is hanged to death. Reportedly, he tied a rope to the fan and covered his face with a cloth, and then jumped from the couch.

When his parents returned home in the evening they found him hanging and took him to a nearby hospital. But he had passed away by then.

A case has been registered at Chitradurga Police Station.
