Brahmavara: Two college students returning home after writing their exams were tragically killed in a motorbike-lorry collision on the National Highway -66 at Doopadakatte here on Tuesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Vagish Kedlaya (19) of Kota and his friend Sumit Kumar (19) of Shivamogga, who stayed at Kedlaya’s home in Kota.
Both were pursuing their BCom degrees at an evening college and the accident occurred at around 9pm while they were returning to Kota after writing their exams.
Eyewitnesses said that both the lorry and the motorbike were moving toward Kota. However, it is unclear if the accident occurred after the motorbike skidded or due to the lorry hitting the bike.
It is learned that both were bright students and attended CA classes in the morning while working to earn a BCom degree in the evening.
