Uppunda: Unable to get suitable job, young woman ends life

Uppunda: A young woman ended her life on May 27 allegedly after failing to get a suitable job.

The deceased has been identified as Gauthami (22), daughter of Pramod Shetty, a resident of Kalthodu Village.

Gautami had reportedly completed her MCom studies from a private college in Udupi and had appeared for several exams for a job but was unsuccessful in getting one.

Upset over this, Gautami reportedly ended her life by hanging at her house. Her family later rushed her to Byndoor Community Health Center but doctors declared her brought dead.

A case has been registered at the Byndoor police station.
