Byndoor: A youth was killed and three others sustained injuries in a road accident near Kirimanjeshwar on national highway 66 here on Wednesday, March 2 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Akshay (23), a resident of Bengaluru. The injured — Tejas (24), Pavan (23) and Harsha (24) have been admitted to a hospital for treatment and are said to be out of danger.
The accident took place when the group was headed back to Bengaluru after touring places like Karwar, Gokarna. The Innova car in which they were traveling hit and jumped the divider. Akshay suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. His mortal remains were kept in the mortuary of the government hospital at Kundapur.
Byndoor police registered a case in this regard.
