CCTV captures three panchayat members stealing file from office in Karkala

Karkala: Three gram panchayat members have been booked by the Ajekaru police station for allegedly stealing an important file from the office here.

The accused are Sujit Kumar Shetty (45), Girish Shetty (40), both residents of Shirlalu Mundli and Kishore (32) of Mundli. The case was filed by Srinivas S, PDO of Shiralu gram panchayat.

Reportedly, Srinivas recently noticed that an important file pertaining to a private company was missing. When he checked the CCTV footage of the gram panchayat it came to light that the trio were checking the missing file during a meeting and Girish Shetty had put the same in his bag after the meeting was over.
