CD case: Woman’s lawyer not registered with Bar Council, says KSBC

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) has stated that the lawyer representing the woman in the CD case, KN Jagdish Kumar, is not registered with the Council.

The KSBC has stated that if Jagdish is registered with any other State’s Bar Council, then he cannot practice law in another State for six months as per the rules of the Bar Council of India.

Clarifying on the issue, KN Jagdish has said that he is well qualified to represent the woman adding that he has passed the All India Bar Examination.

“They can complain regarding this issue if they want, I will answer them in the next few days. I am an LLB graduate from Karnataka Stae Law University and registered with the Delhi Bar Council,” he said.
