CF Moto forays into Indian Market with four new motorcycles

CFMoto, a Chinese Motorcycle manufacturer has made its way to India with the launch of four models, in association with Bangalore-based AMW Motorcycles. The newly launched CFMoto models include the 300NK, 650NK, 650MT and the 650GT. The company is likely to commence the bookings of the motorcycles from August 5, 2019 for a token amount of Rs.5,000.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vamsi Krishna Jagini – CEO AMW Motorcycles said “This is the most awaited launch yet in the Indian market. We are thrilled to partner with CFMoto to bring their globally renowned models to India. The bikes are in the premium niche segment and there is a healthy demand in the category.”

Mr.Kent Chen, Assistant General Manager – Global Sales CFMoto said, “We are happy to bring CFMoto to the Indian consumers. India is a vast and exciting market and in AMW we found a perfect partner to make our India foray. The Indian two-wheeler sector has seen tremendous growth and the premium motorcycle market in India is not only growing but also evolving in consumer tastes and preferences.”

CFMoto 300NK, the company’s entry-level motorcycle is a street fighter with sharp styling and features dual riding modes, TFT Colour Display, LED Lighting and Rear mudguard. It also gets full LED headlamps with LED turn indicators. The engine powering the bike is a 292.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit that makes 28PS power and 25Nm of torque, coming paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS will handle the braking duties. The 300NK will take on the likes of the Honda CB300R, KTM Duke 250 and Yamaha FZ25.

The 650NK is also a street fighter which boasts of a muscular fuel tank and sharp tail section while the CFMoto 650GT is a sports tourer and the 650MT is an adventure tourer featuring a tall windscreen and comfortable riding position. It sports a large fuel tank with 18 litres capacity. All the three 650 motorcycles get powered by the same 649.3cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that comes in different states of tune. The engine puts out 61PS in the 650NK, 71PS and 62PS in the 650MT and the 650GT bikes respectively.

The motorcycles will be brought in via the CKD route and will be assembled locally at the AMW’s assembly plant located in Bengaluru. The new models will be available through their dealer network in 6 cities based at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata and Guwahati. CFMoto is also planning to launch three more bikes in India next year. The price (ex-showroom, India) details of the CFMoto bikes are as follows.

 

  • CFMoto 300NK – Rs.2,29,000

 

  • CFMoto 650NK – Rs.3,99,000

 

  • CFMoto 650MT – Rs.4,99,000

 

  • CFMoto 650GT – Rs.5,49,000
