Chennai police arrest Tamil actor for gambling in apartment

Chennai: Popular Tamil Actor was among 12 persons arrested by the police for alleged gambling activity at the former’s residence located in the upscale Nungambakkam area.

As per the police, Sham and several other actors had been gambling at night amid the lockdown. They also found tokens, game boards and lakhs of money from his apartment.

Reportedly, aa actor who lost money during the gambling tipped off the police following which they raided the place. It is not immediately known if any other actors have been arrested.

Meanwhile, all those arrested have been released under station bail.

Police said that they will lodge a FIR under suitable sections and further investigation will be carried out.
