Chikkaballapur: As fear about the bird flu has gripped the state ,thousands of chickens were left in the forests by several poultry farmers. The nearby residents rushed to the site to get the chicken home.

They were dumped  in the forest area near the Kanitahalli village in the district.

Due to the quarrel between the Poultry farmers  and multinational companies that supply farm poultry, farmers have dumped thousands of chicken in the nearby forest.

Recently, government officials at the Animal Husbandry Department in Bengaluru promised to meet the poultry farmers to settle the issue. But, poultry farmers are preventing multinational companies from transporting poultry and are leaving the chickens in the forests.
