Chikkamagaluru: Two people died and another was seriously injured after the car they were travelling in hit a divider near Kanye Cross on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Niranjan (42) and Chennamma (67), both residents of Vijayapura Layout. Another woman named Ratnamma was seriously injured has been admitted to the Chikkamagaluru District Hospital.
The car was moving towards Kadur from Chikkamagaluru, when the man behind the wheel lost control and crashed into the road divider.
The incident took place in the Sakharayapatna police station limits.
