Famous snake rescuer Naresh met a tragic end after he was bitten by a cobra he had rescued earlier in the day. Naresh had dedicated his life to rescuing and relocating snakes.

On Tuesday morning, Naresh responded to a distress call from a concerned resident in the Chikkamagalur district.  He arrived at the location to rescue the cobra sighted near a residential area and captured the reptile. Later he secured it in the storage compartment of his scooter.

However, the captured cobra bit Naresh while he attempted to release it in a safe environment later that evening.

Local residents rushed Naresh to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite best efforts, Naresh tragically passed away before reaching the hospital.

Naresh had been a dedicated snake rescuer in Chikkamagaluru and the surrounding areas for the past 25 years.
