Chikkamagaluru: Villagers of Bhaktara Halli and Mallena Halli have accused the BJP leaders of attempting to bribe voters by distributing sarees to women.

Expressing their discontent against this act, the village elders set fire to the sarees. A video of the same has gone viral.

The village elders alleged that the local MLA did not address their concerns for the past five years and is now attempting to bribe the voters. “Such acts of distributing sarees only spoil the societal values,” the added.
