Chikmagalur: The president of a gram panchayat in Kadur taluk of the district has demolished a bus stand in front of her house.
Dakshayanamma, gram panchayat president of Siddapur village within S Bidare gram panchayat demolished the bus stand saying that the bus stand was blocking the access route to their roadside house.
However, some locals have alleged that it is a case of gross abuse of power and have demanded her removal from the post of the gram panchayat’s president.
