Childhood friends secure top ranks in MSc at Mangalore Varsity convocation

Mangaluru: Two childhood friends, Bhagyalakshmi and Shilpa, have secured the first and second ranks in the postgraduate courses at Mangalore University.

Bhagyalakshmi and Shilpa, friends since their Anganwadi play school days, have continued their academic journey together up to their M.Sc. They bagged top ranks in MSc (Industrial Chemistry) at the Mangalore University’s convocation ceremony held on June 15. They received their medals from the Governor of Karnataka on Saturday.

Interestingly, Bhagyalakshmi and Shilpa live in adjacent houses in Bannur, Puttur. The friends mentioned that they maintained healthy competition throughout their studies and celebrated their achievements with their families.

Both are currently employed at a private company.
