Children skate from Karwar to Bengaluru for creating awareness on govt schemes

Bengaluru: As many as 63 children from Karwar skated all the way to Bengaluru to create awareness about the schemes of the labour department.
The children, who completed their journey to Bengaluru on Wednesday, were received by the state Minister for Youth empowerment and sports, and sericulture Dr Narayana Gowda and labour minister Shivaram Hebbar at the Vidhan Soudha.
The children traversed a distance of 620 km from Karwar to the state capital through the arduous Western Ghats.
The ministers felicitated the children for their achievements on the occasion.
