CM Adityanath releases ‘book of achievements’ on first anniversary of UP govt’s 2nd term

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday released a book listing its achievements to mark the first anniversary of its second term in the state.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released the book titled, ‘Six Years: Good Governance, Development, Employment – Double Engine Government’ at a press conference held at Lok Bhavan. According to the book, action has been taken against 63,055 criminals under the Gangster Act and against 836 offenders under the National Security Act (NSA). Movable and immovable properties worth over Rs 9022 crore were confiscated under the Gangster Act, and properties worth more than Rs 2,819 crore, which were illegally acquired by the mafia, have also been attached, it said.

The book mentions that various efforts have been made in the field of law and order, including control of crime against women.

A picture of the chief minister cutting a ribbon along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel is on the cover of the book.

Adityanath expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and other ministers for giving ”positive support to the state”.

Referring to the ‘Global Investors Summit’ held in Lucknow from February 10 to 12, the book said that 20,652 investment agreements worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed in the summit.

The book also highlights that Rs 52,190 crore was given to 2.60 crore farmers from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi along with the claim of completing 266 projects for flood protection. The Adityanath government has also counted its achievements in the items of prosperity through cooperation, livestock protection, social welfare, food and logistics etc.

Information about departments working for women’s welfare, infrastructure and industrial development, energy, technology, civil aviation, developing cities and other departments have also been mentioned with data in the book.
