CM Bommai announces removal of age criteria for Kannada Rajyotsava Award

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the age criteria for Kannada Rajyotsava Award will be removed.

Addressing the gathering at the Kannada Rajyotsava event at Ravindra Kalakshetra on Tuesday, November 1, he made this announcement.

He said, “Achievements cannot be considered with age factor. This restriction is unethical. We will remove this for the next year. We will release guidelines regarding this matter, after discussing it with the Rajyotsava awardees”.
